There is therefore the need of an additional curriculum commonly referred to a special needs curriculum. The special needs policy in Saudi Arabia ensures that all students achieve their potential according to the values of the society and Islamic teachings. Saudi Arabia offers educational opportunities for students with special needs such as the blind and visually impaired (Gaad, 2010, p12).
